Bart

Meet Black Bart!

This beautiful boy is Bart. Bart was rescue from the shelter on the day he was to be put down. He was underweight, smelly and had kennel cough. With all of this, something just shined right thru to touch the hearts of those that saw him. He has been neutered, vacinated and treated for heart worms. His foster home has worked hard to give him good house manners. Now he is ready for his forever home.

Bart's foster Mom has this to say about Bart...

"he is a smart and beautiful boy. This guy must have the home that will appreciate him and love him so that he can continue to mature into the wonderful pet that he is. As you already know, I am very fond of him. It is so hard to get good pictures of him, my camera has a delay on it so he has moved before the shot takes. Check out the one where Bart is giving Rusty kisses. That is one thing he has learned but you have to watch, he still likes to give play nips which I don't allow but he sneaks them in sometimes.  He also is good on leash, has learned his walks are when he should poop- rarely does it in his play area, crate trained, house broken (I'm always with him), he knows "sit", "stay" and usually obeys.  He also  knows "down", "come" and "no" but is still working on consistent listening.  He is strong, energetic, has a lot of puppy still in him but a lot of power behind the  puppy, good with people and on leash he is OK with other dogs- he usually just wants to play - but can be rough. He can't be around cats and would be too rough for small children. He loves to get in mine or Rusty's  lap and is very loving when we take him out of his crate in the mornings - I think he would really love to sleep with us but we can't because of the dogs already sleeping with us would take offense. "
